JENNY LONGLEY
Jenny found her love of theatre at the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone in 1997 when The Hazlitt Youth Theatre first started. During her time at HYT she performed in many shows and had experience of performing in a theatre education tour in many schools in the south-east before performing in her first professional theatre tour.
Jenny then went on to study performing arts at Mid Kent college and then ventured to London to attend the Bridge Theatre Drama School where she had the opportunity to perform in West End theatres and work alongside some very talented performers. After she graduated from drama school, Jenny went on to be a working actress for a number of years. Her credits include Gemma in Junk and Gail in Cigarettes & Chocolate. It was working alongside the director in Cigarettes & Chocolate that she discovered a love for directing and casting. Moving back to Kent, Jenny co-founded a children's theatre production company producing shows and leading regular performing workshops. This brought Jenny back to the Hazlitt Theatre, where she started covering youth theatre workshops for HYT and has never looked back. Since then Jenny has directed many shows including; The Snow Queen, Footloose, Copacabana, The Wedding Singer, Christmas Comes Once a Year, The Grinch, High School Musical and A Christmas Carol. Over the years Jenny has developed a reputation for casting which eventually led her to founding The Arc Talent Agency, helping her young clientele pursue their dreams of a career in the performing arts. |
